Sefton Pest Control destroy wasps’ nests in the summer time for a preset cost of just £39.50, we will never ask for more to destroy a wasps’ nest except in cases where specialized access machinery such as a cherry-picker or scaffolding is necessary to access the nest
However, once we get much past mid-September we are destroying what we call a late season wasps’ nest, where an additional treatment to your loft space may be needed.
On nearly all occasions we will not even need to climb ladders as we use lengthy extension lances which are much safer for our agents, your self and your home.
Also, and more importantly do NOT attempt to close or block the nest entrance with mastic or mortar etc., you’ll drive the wasps into the house and when we arrive we need the entrance to be open so as to perform the treatment.
If you call us out to a nest where you have sealed the entrance we will charge you extra for the additional time it takes us to deal with the nest. On occasions when an entrance has been sealed or where you have attempted to deal with the nest yourself we reserve the right to charge you a call out fee without carrying out the treatment or to attempt the work with no guarantee given.
You will be allocated the soonest possible appointment, commonly same-day and our operative will kill the wasps’ nest by injecting a small measure of insecticide into the entrance where the wasps are coming and going. The prevalent pest of the moment is bed bugs, they are a world-wide epidemic and extremely easily transported to your property.
A Lot of people confuse bed bugs with dust mites. Distinct From dust mites which are relatively harmless, bed bugs are not present in every bed but only in the beds of those unfortunate enough to become infested.
Bed bugs are roughly the size and shape of an apple pip and feed exclusively on blood, your blood!
You can carry bed bugs to your house just by staying in an infested hotel or even by being seated next to the wrong person on the train.
Once set up in your property they will quickly disperse to any attached premises and in a extreme infestation it is possible to sustain upwards of five-hundred bites per night.
Whatever you do PLEASE never try and deal with the problem all by yourself, I promise that you will just make things worse. If you think that you may perhaps have a bed bug infestation then please call us for information well before you do anything at all.
Many individuals immediately go out and buy new beds or mattresses, this truly is a waste of time and money as the new bed will be swiftly infested by bugs from everywhere else in the bedroom.

Fleas infestations are on the increase again, even with people who routinely treat their cats and dogs.
